CHILDREN’S CAMPS
CHILDREN’S CAMPS
Camp Good Grief
This camp is held each June at Seneca Hills Bible & Retreat Center. The campers will have an opportunity to learn more about grief, learn to grow beyond their losses, and participate in many group activities. Each camper will be assigned to a small group of campers of similar ages, along with adult volunteer counselors in each group who will be responsible for them. Please call the VNA office at 814-432-6555 for any questions and for a camper application.
“It helps to know how to deal with (loss). Everyone else is going through the same things.” – Youth Camper

Horses for Healing
This camp is held later in the summer at VARHA in Franklin. This camp is for youth ages 9 to 17 years of age. This particular camp is a therapeutic, fun experience in which campers learn to grow beyond their losses. The day will be filled with activities such as an instructional workshop/riding with the VARHA horses and staff, cool down activities and small group discussions.
Please call the VNA office at 814-432-6555 for any questions and for a camper application.

Hope for the Holidays
Hope for the Holidays will provide a therapeutic, fun setting where children can talk openly and share their feelings with others who have had similar experiences. At the same time, they will benefit from guidance and support from our trained bereavement volunteers. Each camper will be assigned to a small group of campers of similar ages, along with adult volunteer counselors in each group who will be responsible for them. Activities will focus on ways to cope with the upcoming holidays with workshops on grief and holiday crafts. The day will conclude with a holiday meal.
